Bookish Matters

The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.

Classic Covers with a Bit of Sass

Here are book covers I've been noticing and pleased with of late.

Penguins Classics Deluxe Editions:

And Collins Design:

I also noticed they are making special editions of classics aimed at teens. Harperteen looks suspiciously like Twilight:

That's all.

  1. I really like the Jane Eyre one. It reminds me of the castle on the hill in Young Frankenstein.

  2. Hmmm, I have been thinking a lot about design lately.

    These are pretty.

  3. Probably same book cover designer or same organization. Black, white and red is CHEATING btw.

  4. @Sergey

    Cheating? Is it too easy?

  5. Yap =). It's a striking color combination and it always work. Not only that it also works tone wise every time. Black as background, white as contrast and red as accent O_o. Lazy solution =)
